Installation fails when entitlement client is not installed

If you uninstalled ProFile as well as the associated Entitlement folders on your computer, you will not be able to reinstall ProFile properly unless you edit the registry file beforehand.

Edit the registry

  1. In Windows, go to Start, then type regedit in the search bar.
  2. Search for Intuit Entitlement.
  3. Delete any root keys that contain Intuit Entitlement.
  4. Select File, then select Exit.
  5. Reinstall ProFile.
