Cannot update ProFile on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

When trying to complete automatic updates in ProFile, the error below may occur:

If this error is occuring and the machine's operating system is not Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, follow the steps below.

  1. Close the ProFile program.
  2. Right-click on the ProFile shortcut icon and select Properties.
  3. Click on the Compatability tab.
  4. Ensure that the option Run this program in compatibility mode for: does not have Windows XP selected.
