What is the difference between NETFILE and EFILE?
by Intuit• Updated 3 years ago
NETFILE is the CRA's online filing system for individuals to file their own tax returns over the Internet.
If you are interested in NETFILE, we suggest that you use Intuit TurboTax. Contact TurboTax to order, or if you have any questions.
EFILE is the CRA's electronic filing system for professional tax preparers to use to file their clients' returns over the Internet.
To EFILE, the tax preparer must apply to the CRA and receive a Preparer ID, EFILEÂ number, and EFILE password. Review our full support article on how to acquire the necessary permissions.
