Known issues in ProFile

Heads up! Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. This means no more free technical assistance or security fixes. To keep your system secure and your ProFile experience optimal, we recommend upgrading to Windows 11.
The following are known issues in the current release of ProFile. Don't see your issue listed below? Search for other issues and errors on our ProFile Community and Support site.
ProFile does not carry forward TaxCycle data for more than one S125 form
| Issue | When carrying forward T2 returns, forms subsequent to the first S125 aren't populated with TaxCycle data. Only the initial form populates. |
| Modules Impacted | T2/CO-17 |
| Workaround | Review the equivalent S125 forms in TaxCycle and enter the additional statements manually in ProFile. |
| Resolution | This issue will be fixed in a future ProFile release. |
Issues with EFILE Error #353
| Issue | CRA EFILE# 353 The claim for the spouse or common-law partner amount at field 58120 of the provincial form 428 differs from the maximum allowable |
| Modules Impacted | T1 |
| Workaround | You'll need to paper-file the return. |
| Resolution | The CRA is aware of this error, but hasn't committed to a timeline to fix it. |
Calculations are wrong on the TP80.APFarming and TP80.APFishing form
| Issue | Calculations are wrong on the TP80.APFarming and TP80.APFishing form Both the T2042 and TP80.AP Farming forms should be showing the same amount. |

| Resolution | This issue will be fixed in a future ProFile release. |
On the RRSP form cannot enter an amount on the Refund of undeducted contributions included above field
| Issue | On the RRSP form, if you try to enter a amount on line The Refund of undeducted contribution included above, you may be unable to enter an amount. |
| Modules Impacted | T1 |
| Workaround | Override the contributions amounts in the RRSP box to something bigger than the sum of the first two amounts under Other deductions line 23100![]() For example, override with 100,000 the amount 9149 on the RRSP contributions line. Next, enter the desired amount on line Refund of undeducted contribution included above line. ![]() |
| Resolution | This issue will be fixed in a future ProFile release. |
AExempt form isn't recognizing that a AS10 loss carryback has been prepared
| Issue | In ProFile, the exempt form isn’t showing that an AS10 loss carryback was prepared. Because of this, customers might think the carryback loss was claimed, even though the AS10 application form hasn’t been sent to the Alberta agency. |
| Modules Impacted | T2 |
| Workaround | When the AS10 form was prepared and the return is exempt, the AS10 form must be mailed to the Alberta agency. |
| Resolution | The AExempt form is calculating as it should. An audit message will be added to Profile (in a future release) to let customers know that the AS10 form still needs to be mailed to Alberta Finance, even if they don’t have to file the AT1. |
