Unable to open files in Turbo Tax Business Incorporated

If a TurboTax Business Incorporated file isn't opening with TurboTax Business Incorporated, you might need to associate the files.

  1. Go to the folder where the returns are saved. By default, Turbo Tax saves all returns from all years in the following directory: C:\Users%user%\Documents\TTBInc
  2. Right-click a file and select Open with...

  1. A list of apps will display. If TurboTax Business Incorporated isn't listed, and select More apps.
  2. If TurboTax Business Incorporated isn't on the next list, select Look for another app on this PC.

  1. Navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit directory.
  2. Select folder for the correct TTBInc year, if applicable. For example, if you have a 2021 file, select TurboTax Business 2021.
  3. Select the file QTBInc.exe.
  4. Select open.

The file associates with the selected app and opens.
