Unable to save a return when Keep Backup is selected

If Keep Backup is selected under Options > Environment > File, and an error occurs saying that the file cannot be found, this can be because there is no backup folder in the location where the files are stored. This can be resolved by creating a new BackupFiles folder, or copying the one from the original location (MyProFileData and the subfolder).
