"SEND" function eliminated, "CRA Data Import" function renamed

Originally, the CRA had the System for the Electronic Notification of Debt (SEND) service, which allows authorized discounters to send requests through their software to obtain information about any outstanding debts their client may have, which might affect whether the return is discounted or the amount of the discounted return.

The CRA also had a feature called Tax Data Delivery (TDD)/CRA Data Import. This feature allowed authorized representatives to electronically request and receive certain tax information to fill in parts of their client's income tax and benefit returns.

The CRA is now eliminating the SEND service and changing the TDD/CRA Data Import name.  These functions are all included under the Auto-fill my Return (AFR) service.
