EFILE error "Last Name does not match our records"

An error occurs indicating that the last name does not match the CRA's records when attempting to EFILE a T1 return.

This is a result of the last name in the return not matching CRA records.

Resolution

If the name was changed in the past year, ensure that the Last name changed in [TAX YEAR]? option is set to Yes on the Info page:

This should resolve the EFILE error.
