EFILE error "Last Name does not match our records" in ProFile

An error may occur indicating that the last name doesn't match the CRA's records when attempting to EFILE a T1 return in ProFile.

Cause

This is a result of the last name in the return not matching CRA records.

Resolution

If the name was changed in the past year, help ensure that the Last name changed in [TAX YEAR]? option is set to Yes on the Info page.

Making this change should resolve this error.
