MSVCR .dll error when launching ProFile
by Intuit• Updated 1 year ago
A MSVCR message is a Windows error relating to the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package. The package year/version varies.
The error usually reads: hashink.exe - System Error. The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
Resolution
It is necessary to download and run ProFile as administrator.
If using Internet Explorer

2. Select the orange Download ProFile button on the download page. A prompt asks if you want to run or save the file.
3. Select the Save option. The download progress window displays.
When completed, the location of the file is C:/Windows -> Users > [USERNAME] > Downloads.
If using Google Chrome
1. Navigate to the ProFile download page.
2. Select the orange Download ProFile button on the download page. The download displays automatically in the bottom-right corner of the browser.
