EFILE a return for an inactive or NIL corporation

For a corporate return

1. If the corporation is inactive, ensure the question “Is the corporation inactive?” in the
Type of business section has the Yes option selected on the Info tab.

2. Sign-off on any errors in the Active auditor.

3. Proceed to EFILE the return.

For a NIL corporate return

When creating a NIL corporate return, some RSI errors may display:

  • “T2 RSI #1250001 S125#1 The corporation did not file Schedule 125,”
  • “RSI 2000150 T2 The corporation has not provided the net income or the loss for income tax purposes at line 200300.”

1. If the corporation is inactive, ensure the question “Is the corporation inactive?” in the
Type of business section has the Yes option selected on the Info tab.

2. Sign-off on any errors in the Active auditor.

3. Proceed to EFILE the return.
