Troubleshoot ProFile license issues

After purchasing a license for ProFile, customers may encounter several different errors.

License error occurred: No activatable units. Total activatable units equals 2. Activated units equal 2.

This error results from the license being activated the maximum number of times allowed.

The customer needs to purchase a new license, or use flexible licensing.

License error occurred: Invalid combination.

This error can happen when a customer enters their product license into ProFile without the right tax year (like a 2022 license in a ProFile that only includes 2021 modules). It can also happen if there's no internet connection.

Update ProFile to the most recent version and/or connect the PC to the internet.

A ProFile license is corrupted.

Note: C++ isn't associated with this error.

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Enter %programdata% in the address field. The contents of the ProgramData folder displays.
3. Rename the folder GreenPoint to GreenPoint-old.

Note: The .NET may need to be repaired or other connectivity issues resolution may apply. These may include the firewall, Internet options, antivirus settings, and more.
