Data Connectivity Components driver error in ProFile

ProFile customers who experience the following error message need to download the Data Connectivity Components driver.

Import Error. In order to use Excel Import, you’ll need to download and install the Data Connectivity Components driver.

ProFile communicates and shares data with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel. The driver installs components that let this communication to take place.

These drivers are typically installed automatically with Microsoft Office. However, the drivers may be missing if Microsoft Office is not loaded on the computer, or may have become corrupted.

Install the driver

1. Download Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016.
2. Open cmd prompt as an admin. To do this, go to the Start menu and enter cmd, and then select run as admin.
3. Type the following, cd Downloads and then select enter.
4. Type the following, accessdatabaseengine.exe/quiet and then select enter.
