Allow a program through the firewall

1. Exit ProFile.
2. Open the Control Panel.
3. In the top-right corner, type Firewall and select Windows Firewall.
4. Click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall. Check to see if ProFile is listed
5. If ProFile is not listed, click on and navigate to the ProFile installation folder. By default, ProFile is installed in C: Program Files (x86) > ProFile.
6. Select ProFile.exe and click Open.
7. Click Add.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 and add the following applications to the firewall:

• Profiledbservice.exe
• Profiledbserver.exe
• ProfileUpdater.exe

Note: When adding Profiledbserver.exe, Windows Firewall will change the name to of the application to FlashFile Server.

If you're having trouble setting up a shared database server, you may also need to add exception rules in Advanced Settings.
