Run a Windows update

1. Click the Windows Start menu button in the bottom-left corner of your computer screen.

2. Click the Settings button (this is the small gear icon).

The Windows Settings menu displays.

3. Select the Update & Security option. The Windows Update window displays.

4. Click the Check for Updates button to determine what updates are available.

Depending on your individual operating system, you may be prompted to select individual updates to make, or updates may automatically begin to download.
