TP1H autofill data not flowing as expected

ProFile is designed to auto calculate the values in TP1H. Users can expect data to flow to the TP1H when certain conditions are met. However, there may be cases where the flow does not occur as expected.


Required conditions for data flow

Review this MRQ artice for the current conditions for data flow to occur.

In addition:

● Ensure the taxpayer is a resident of Quebec at the end of the tax year.
● Ensure the dependent form has the correct percentage indicated to be claimed for TP1H.
● Ensure data boxes such as 224 through 228 have been completed.


Required section conditions

It's imperative to determine which section of the TP1H the data is expected to flow to. For each section, ensure the proper conditions are applied.

The following conditions must be met to see the data flow in each section:


Section B

If a dependent:

● Dependent must be indicated as disabled.
● Dependent must be 18 years of age or older at the end of the tax year.
● Dependent must have the same address as is on the Info form.

If a spouse:

● Spouse must be indicated as claiming the disability amount in the Info form.
● Ensure either Nothing or Yes is selected in box 40 of TP1D.


Section C

If a dependent:

● Dependent must be indicated as disabled.
● Dependent must be 18 years of age or older at the end of the tax year.
● Dependent must have a different address than what is on the Info form.

If a spouse:

● Spouse must be indicated as claiming the disability amount in the Info form.
● Ensure No is selected in box 40 of TP1D.


Section D

● The dependent must be 70 years of age or older at the end of the tax year.
● Dependent must have the same address as is on the Info form.
● The ascendant relationship must be parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle.
