What does the backup feature do in ProFile?

In 2013, ProFile added a feature called Keep Backup in environment options.

This feature allows users to store a backup file of their ProFile files in case of a file corruption or loss. The default location of these backup files is C: > Users(user name) > Documents > My ProFile Data(name of module) > BackupFiles.

Users not wishing to keep a backup in the BackupFiles folder can turn off this feature by unchecking the box in Options Environment.
