"Invalid Pointer Operation" error message in ProFile

While working in ProFile, an Invalid pointer operations error message may display.

Resolution

To resolve the error, uninstall and reinstall ProFile.

1. Navigate to the Windows Control Panel.
2. Select Program, and then select Programs and Features. A list of programs loaded on the computer displays.
3. Locate ProFile in the program list.
4. Select ProFile, and then select Uninstall.
5. Windows prompts for a confirmation. Select Yes if you'd like to continue.
6. ProFile confirms that the software has been uninstalled.
7. Reboot your computer.
8. Navigate to the ProFile website.
9. Download the gpsetup.exe file by selecting Download ProFile.
10. Double-click the downloaded file. The installation will begin.
11. Follow the dialogue boxes when prompted to install ProFile.

Note: ProFile may prompt for the Microsoft Visual C++/Microsoft .NET Framework. These installations must be performed for the software to install and run successfully.
