When opening a return, ProFile says it has been opened in a more recent version

When opening a file, ProFile may display a message that a return has been opened in a more recent version of ProFile.


  1. Select the option Check for Updates... from the Online top toolbar menu.
  2. Update ProFile if you are not on the latest version.

If you're on the latest version of ProFile and still have the same error, follow this article to run a repair of ProFile.
